Shindengen Electric Manufacturing Co., Ltd. hereby announces that it will be recognized by the Government of India on September 17, 2026, during the international semiconductor exhibition "Semicon India 2026" held in Delhi, India. 

The Government of India is currently strongly promoting the "Make in India" initiative to establish a robust domestic semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem. This recognition is granted in appreciation of Shindengen’s technical cooperation in power semiconductors for a new packaging line established by Continental Device India Private Limited (CDIL), a local Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) provider, utilizing the Indian government's subsidy program. 
Concurrently with Semicon India 2026, Shindengen will participate as an exhibitor at "electronica India 2026," an electronic components and manufacturing technology trade fair held in Bengaluru, India. At the booth, the Shindengen will introduce its power semiconductor solutions and electrical equipment for two-wheelers. 

Shindengen’s Initiatives in the Indian Market 

Under its 17th Medium-Term Management Plan, Shindengen has identified "Development of Target Markets" as a key strategic priority and is accelerating company-wide efforts to expand its growth in the Indian market. The Shindengen has a proven track record of supplying electrical equipment for over 7 million two-wheelers annually in India. 
To prepare for the expanding two-wheeler market, Shindengen is constructing a second plant for its local subsidiary, Shindengen India Private Limited (scheduled to begin operations in April 2027), while also exploring options for local power semiconductor production and the utilization of OSAT partners. 

Shindengen will continue to strengthen local partnerships to support the growth of the Indian market and further expand its power semiconductor business.
